In July 2021, McCoy Group launched the “Pragati” CSR initiative in partnership with Youthreach, targeting the Bithwana village in the Rewari district. This programme was conceived to advance digital literacy among students in Bithwana and the surrounding villages of Kamalpur, Bhawadi, and Gajjiwas.
In 2022, the scope of the Pragati programme broadened to include life skills training in addition to digital literacy. This expanded initiative is currently being implemented at the Government Senior School in Bithwana Village and remains active.
The programme is now supported by McCoy Silicones.
Digital Literacy Programme
Since its inception in July 2021, the Pragati Digital Literacy programme has been committed to providing high-quality digital education, aimed at equipping students with essential 21st-century skills. To further enhance its effectiveness, the programme has formed a formal partnership with the NIIT Foundation.
The Pragati Digital Literacy Centre offers a comprehensive four-month Certificate Course in Active Basic IT (CCAB). Upon successful completion, students receive a certification from the NIIT Foundation, acknowledging their accomplishment.
Since July 2022, the programme has positively impacted over 300 students.
Life Skills Programme
The Pragati Life Skills Programme is tailored to help rural youth and students develop the emotional, social, and intellectual skills crucial for personal and professional success. The curriculum focuses on personal development, interpersonal relationships, community engagement, and workplace readiness, including both employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
The “Passport to Success” curriculum, designed by Youthreach, provides a structured training approach to equip participants with the competencies necessary for successful careers and business ventures.
